Nimisha, and Neeharika and Whaea Pip got to meet the Mayor of Upper Hutt today because Nimisha won the community calendar art competition! We are so proud of Nimisha for getting her wonderful picture into the calendar!

Escaping the heat!
It was such a hot day today! To escape the heat, we did our basic facts practice outside under a tree. We did some fun symmetry activities with leaves and grass, too.

Slip, slop, slap!
We are amazing remembering to bring our hat every day. We have been practising putting our sunblock on so that we have covered all our skin. We are learning to be sun smart smarty pants!

Chinese art
We had to blow a little bit of ink to make our tree branches, and then we used special paintbrushes to make the flowers and the leaves. The paintings are incredible!
